Moooshiiis Story:
it is a very close to my heart project; it came to life
after a long period of time where I felt dull and I have nothing to give. After
going through this I had to choose between staying in this cycle or breaking it
and trying my best to make myself feel better.
In that process I started to remember my childhood and
myself as a child and how fascinated I was with everything that is magical and imaginative.
I started then to write short stories so I can go back to that phase of my life.
It made me feel much better each time, then I started watching old cartoons
specially the ones where I couldn’t wait to go back home after school, so I can
sit; have my launch and watch my cartoons. So, I started watching “The
Barbabpapa family” which I was so obsessed about.
After that every night before sleeping, I started imagining
having little blobby creatures in my room, this thought made me happy, so I decided
to take it seriously “why I don’t try to make it happen? If it will make me
happy, its worth trying at least!” Then, I started designing my own blobs
family. I named them Moooshiiis (I will tell you later why I picked it). Their
round chubby shape to me represents the infinity and cycle of life, there is no
start point; you can start anywhere and any time you want and when you reach to
your end ,you’ve drawn a whole completed picture , and at the finishing point
you will see very clearly how and why you started .. that is why circle is a favorite
shape of mine. Also because it doesn’t have any sharp edges, so its flexible
and tender. and that is how a human spirit should be, I believe. Their big eyes
is the only window to their souls and it represents their dreamy nature.
They are artistic toys and one of its kind, no toy will be
the exact copy of the other, they are unique and they’ve been handmaiden with
so much love, imagination and effort.
I hope when you adopt one of my moooshiiis, they brighten up
your spaces and make you smile whenever you look at them .. and who knows, they
might do much more for you 😉
